Radio 4 should be applauded for the ambition of this comprehensive season. Featuring audio recorded at Robert Kennedy's assassination, the re-staging of iconic dramas of the era, a dramatisation of the last days of Martin Luther King, drop-ins of the year's news in archive form and a near punch-up during a debate about the Paris riots, this was a richly-textured project that imaginatively conveyed the tumultuous events of 1968.
