Grainne worked in commercial radio for sixteen years as presenter and producer and most things in between, most notably six years as PD for Juice FM in Liverpool winning the ntl arqiva Station Of The Year award.
She spent most of her time in the North West, although a stint after leaving Juice and setting up on her own led to work all over the country.
A year or so ago she realised that she wasn't equipped for a lifetime spent mostly on the M1 and decided to work outside of radio, which she is currently doing as Project Manager for a consortium of GP practices.
At the moment, she is on maternity leave and her time is spent mostly playing with rattles and reading The Hungry Caterpillar, with the radio permanently on in the background.
She thinks once you've worked in radio you'll always feel like you still do whatever direction life takes you in, and that's her reason for still waking in a panic on RAJAR day anyway.
