Phil has developed, and taken responsibility for, some of the highest profile content in radio with thousands of hours of output across the majority of genres and platforms. He began as a trainee with the BBC in 1986.
After working as a Studio Manager and Producer at the World Service, he joined the Radio 5 launch team. Following production in many areas of BBC network radio he moved to Unique Broadcasting in 1994. He became Director Of Programmes in 2002, overseeing the creative and business objectives for all BBC and commercial programming.
He left Unique to establish TBI media in 2006. Since then the TBI team have produced over 250 programmes for the BBC and commercial clients, winning several awards, including a Sony Gold in 2009.
With a specialism in music and entertainment, recent artist associations range from Coldplay to Dave Brubeck, from Elbow to Nigel Kennedy from the Kings Of Leon and Razorlight to Lily Allen to Chick Corea to Paul Weller. The business has also been commissioned to produce pod casts, live video casts and music based events for a range of international commercial clients.
