Jackie Neill

Editor, Weekend Output

BBC Radio Ulster

Jackie joined BBC Northern Ireland in 1986 at the age of 19 and worked her way up through the ranks of BBC Radio Ulster.

After trying her hand at on-air presentation she decided she was much better 'behind the glass' directing other people to do the talking!   Jackie has produced a range of output for BBC Radio Ulster over the years from music and entertainment programmes to documentaries and magazines.

She has also worked in England for BBC Radio 2 and Five Live at various stages, but is now well and truly settled in Belfast with her husband and children.

Jackie was appointed as Editor of Weekend Output on BBC Radio Ulster just over a year ago and now leads a team of almost 30 producers, content assistants and presenters covering around 20 different programmes across the station.
