
Richard joined MediaCom in 2002 as Head of Radio, and for the last 7 years he has been responsible for overseeing the planning and buying of £45million of Radio advertising spend for a wide client base including T-Mobile, VW Audi group, RBS and Glaxo SmithKline.
Since he joined, MediaCom billings have grown from £18million to over £45million and Richard has implemented new structures, systems and upgrades to working practice in order to make the department run more efficiently.
In 2009, Richard led the agency team to win Agency of the Year at the Radio Advertising Awards and was also instrumental in establishing a new creative section to the awards with a massive £1m prize for the best radio creative work.
Before joining MediaCom, Richard worked at Emap (now Bauer) in the Radio Sponsorship division and established the sponsorship and promotions team in the North, as well as delivering the first ever syndicated piece of cross media activity for the group.
He has worked in Radio for over 12 years, in media for over 15 years and sits on several advisory committees including the JET Management Executive and the IPA Working Party.
Richard plays the guitar enjoys reading, cooking, sailing and camping and is married with 2 small children.
