ON-AIR MARKETING AWARDS

C1: Best Use of Branded Content

This category is designed to recognise excellence in paid-for promotional or sponsored programming on radio stations. Judges will reward entries that successfully address the needs or interests of the brand, as well as the expectations of the audience and the goals of the radio station’s programmers to create compelling content. Entries should be from a single campaign, which may encompass a range of activity, including competition elements, programme sponsorship and online activity.

To be considered for this award, you must submit the following audio:

ONE MP3 (up to 55 MB) to be a compilation from the campaign broadcast in 2009 (lasting no longer than 30 minutes in total). All extracts must be separated by a fade into and out of a 1 second gap, so that it is clear to judges where each extract begins and ends. Music, promos and adverts (but no other content) may be telescoped within each extract.

To accompany your audio, you are also required to submit a written summary on your entry form (no more than 500 words) explaining your objectives, target audience, challenges and/or achievements. Also, six copies of (up to 10) printed items or visuals on a DVD. Please do not assume that the judges will have prior knowledge of your audience or your work – any information you can give to explain the context of your work will be beneficial.

Please note: Judges reserve the right not to judge an entry if the submission requirements have not been met.

To make an entry, please refer to How To Enter.
