
Tim joined the BBC in 1989 as a production trainee in BBC Midlands at Pebble Mill.
He worked as a cub reporter on the legendary Tony Butler Breakfast Programme for BBC Radio WM.
He then moved to Wales and worked as a producer for BBC Radio Wales and Radio 4 for four years.
He joined the BBC Religion & Ethics Department in Manchester working on a variety of programmes for Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4, 5 Live and the World Service.
In 2002 Tim ran the very successful Commonwealth Games Radio station BBC 2002 an RSL dedicated to the games and arts and culture festival surrounding it.
Prior to becoming managing editor of BBC Radio Bristol, Tim lived in Shropshire and was the editor of the station there for 4 years.
He has been in post at Bristol for past two and a half years.
