The Sony Radio Academy Awards are organised by a Committee that seeks to reflect and represent the UK radio landscape. Its Chairman and members are appointed by the Radio Academy in consultation with ZAFER Associates, who produce and direct the Sony Radio Academy Awards, with the continuing support of Sony.
The Committee meets monthly from September to discuss issues such as the award categories, the judges, entry procedure and the event itself.
It’s a system that has evolved over the life of the event and which now sees these Awards positioned as a key element in the Radio Academy’s overall duty to encourage and to celebrate excellence within the medium.
